At MoxTea we love anything & everything to do with Tea. Especially tasty treats to nibble while you're enjoying a cup.
Here's a quick recipe for amazing Melt in your mouth Tea Biscuits. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
1) Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (205 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
2) Combine 2 cups flour, 4 tsps baking powder, and 1 tsp salt. Cut 1/4 cup shortening in until mixture has a fine crumb texture. Stir in 1 cup milk with a fork to make a soft dough. Feel free to mix-in berries, cinnamon, chive, or cheese if desired.
3) Knead 8 to 10 times, and then roll out to a thickness of at least 1/2 inch. Cut into rounds with a cookie or biscuit cutter. Place on cookie sheet, and allow to rest for a few minutes.
4) Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
